Corporate social responsibility is a true business philosophy for Starhotels. Ours is a family business and we want to give our contribution to a better world for the future generations.
Our hotels are managed by socially responsible principles, which we share with our staff, our guests and our shareholders, with the same attention and respect as we turn to our loved ones.
Eco sensitivity
We are all responsible for the world we live in, and we also do our best to make eco-sustainability an important part of our business philosophy.
Some of our hotels are at the forefront of ecotourism, such as the E.c.ho. of Milan with its innovative rooms designed to reduce energy consumption, or the Savoia Excelsior Palace in Trieste, which uses recycled water.
All hotels are geared towards environmental sustainability and use low-impact generators to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption, have low-power LED lighting and high efficiency heating systems.
Our goal is to offer the best travel experience, minimizing the environmental impact.

Cage free eggs policy
Starhotels considers the well-being of animals an essential part of the principles of social responsibility that guide the company’s policies and decisions.
Starhotels’ goal is to follow a path that, in the long-term, can lead the company to only purchasing products from suppliers that, in their individual supply chains and in all the phases of production, respect the responsibility practices dedicated to the well-being of animals and, when possible, go beyond the standards required by law. As a first step in this direction, Starhotels has decided to develop specific objectives for the different supply chains, starting with eggs. All the eggs and egg products purchased every year by the company come exclusively from laying hens that are not raised in cages (barns, free-range and organic).
Starhotels also strives to share responsible purchasing practices with direct and indirect suppliers in order to create a virtuous circle within the supply chain whilst maintaining company standards.
