Heritage

Owned by the Perkhofer family for five generations since its opening in 1856, Hotel Gabrielli is a timeless icon of history and charm. The oldest of its three buildings dates back to the 14th century and has welcomed luminaries from the worlds of art, architecture, literature and philosophy, from Alicja Kwade and Adolf Loos to Franz Kafka and Sigmund Freud. A key stop on the Grand Tour and a favored retreat for Orient-Express travelers, it now returns to its full splendor.

Renovation and design

Hotel Gabrielli reopens in 2025 following an extraordinary conservative restoration that has preserved its historic character while enhancing original architectural features and artistic details. The project seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary design, using materials inspired by the Venetian lagoon and modern furnishings. Special attention was given to highlighting historical elements such as exposed beam ceilings, arched windows, and restored Murano glass chandeliers, creating a harmonious dialogue between past and present.
